Okay, i just got my 97 eclipse gs-t. I put a Blitz body kit on it, painted it Diablo Orange (pimp color) And i got 18' Enkei's (sorry, i'm kinda broke)All over very pimp right now, but i wanna make it better....i want to put lamborghini-style doors on it to finish the outside. Nobody in Las Vegas will do it though, and i wanna know if there are kits out there where i can do it myself (if it's imaginable---i can usually make it so) I am quite handy at ghetto-tizing stuff to make it work. But is there a company in the so-cal area that will do it ( and if so, for how much) any links i would appreciate..thanks

Your looking at about 15, 000 or so . Weve only done a mustang Here. And I know the shop in california has done more than just mustangs. But your looking at about 15,000 or more. Depends on how much frame work has to be done. There is no kit for this, it has to be done completly custom to your vehicle. If you really want the number of the place in CALI, ill give it to you, but dont waste their time if you dont have the money.

The car must be left at the shop for about 2 months. Here it takes about 3 months, and about 20,000, but in california, its cheaper. Plus we dont usaully get requests to do it for cars under 40 or 50,000.

Anyone who thinks that it is less, has never looked into custom modifications. You have to remember that hydrolic door lifts have to be installed and what if it is impossible to make your door swing up because the roof is over it?? That is even more work. And then think the average shop is 65 dollars an hour.

He is right, but there is a common misconception that i is only done on verts, or easier to do on verts. But while it is true that more verts are converted to lambo doors, it is actually more expensive to do lambo doors on a hard top , not just because of the hard top, but more framework has to be done. Basically its expensive, as much as most cars cost. SAd but true....:sun:

Convict,
Before you go running your mouth about how fast your car is, you should probably think twice about it, I've got a 97 GS-T, with a full 6-bolt conversion, Big16G Turbo, 500ci SMIC, all custom IC piping, custom fuel system, water injection, external gate, I can run 23psi of boost on pump gas, which means low 12's from a stop light. And I garuntee you I'm nowhere near the fastest guy here.
Peace

Lambo-door conversions shouldn't cost 15,000. Because in conversions, the door don't actually go up vertically like the Diablo. They have to go at a slight angle, or when you open the door, it comes out a little bit horizontally first, then goes vertically. Those are just bolt on, and the only major manipulation that has to be done is the hinges. 15,000 is far too much for that, that would be too much even for getting a new door for it.
