carfax

anyone with a carfax account? today i found a 94 gsx with 104 miles, i drove the car and it rides ok, i noticed that it has red motor mounts, i don't know why. also when under boost it has no power and theres white smoke, i'm thinking the turbo is shot, has 3" turbo back.

Are they Prothane motor mounts? Because I think they're usually red. Is it modded at all? May be the turbo, but could be a few other things. A compression test would definitely tell you alot about the car too.

yes it is modified, i wouldn't know about the motor mounts but i know it shakes alot when i let out the clutch a litle, and i'd love to buy it but the guy is an ASS, it's a ghetto (sp) ass dealer, i asked him to run a carfax for me and he said " what if the miles are not real? what are you gonna do?" it
he wants 1600,i'll try doing a staight trade for my RS

Just remember that depending on the year and mileage on your RS you may be able to come away with more money if you just straight out sell it than giving it to that dealer. I mean as long as the carfax is good on that gsx it doesn't sound to crazily prices.

I don't know, you might want to stay away from the car. If the dealer is an ass and the car doesn't run right, then something must really be wrong. He probably bought it damn hear blown up and put some quick fixit shit in just to get rid of the damn thing. And I definitely wouldn't do a straight up trade for your RS.
