I have a friend who has a 1966 f250 with the 352 engine in it.... the main bolt that the power cable leads to is rusted loose off the base of her starter and I am looking to find a cheapo replacement starter fopr her out of a scrapyard. can someone assist in telling me what starters will fit? (ie: starters for 302, 351c, 351m, 351w, 390 etc)??

The BEST thing that you can do is to pull the starter out, and match it up.

Most of the starters for the 330, 352, 360, 390 should work.(361, 391 also) Some of the 6cyl starters would even work, by changing the end housing and armature. You could mix and match parts back then , and usually get something that would work. As mentioned above though, its best to take yours off to compare them. Be sure to check the distance from the mounting flange, to the end of the housing, and the number of teeth on the starter drive. There were some differences there. Even if you buy a rebuilt one, which arent that much, be sure to check it.
