Just bought a 1995 Aurora for $1000.00 that was supposed to have a bad starter. Turns out it needed a jump start. Anyway, when running all of a sudden the gauges will start jumping around, the battery light will come on, sometimes the oil light will come on, then all of a sudden, it will stop and everything will work fine again. I assume it is a ground problem, but I can't seem to get my hands on any type of a wiring diagram...can anyone help? Also, the Door locks, memory seats and power lumbar controls are dead on both doors, but the keyless entry works fine...why would both doors be dead at the same time? Checked all the fuses and relays I can find, but still no luck. Are there more hiding?

One thing you might want to check for your seat control problems is the wire harness leading out of the doors. The wires run thru a rubber boot -- pull back the boot & look for broken wires. I've had to repair several on the drivers side of my '95 . . . from reading this forum, seems to be a fairly common problem.
Not sure about your guage/light issues. Good Luck!!

Just an advice from someone who's had nearly 100 cars the last 20 yrs: NEVER BUY A "LUXURY" CAR FOR $1000!
When you only have $1000, try to buy simple-made cars like Toyota Corolla or 80's Nissan Hardbody pickup truck. They'll never give you 1/10th of trouble an older luxury car can give. A nissan hardbody 4 cyl can go 300,000+ miles at 30+mpg. Good luck

Instrument problems in the 95 are usually result of bad circuit board on instrument cluster. The 95 instrument cluster is a one year only part so you must get a 95 cluster at your local junk yard. Be sure to get one with a 30 day warranty since these circuit boards are failing big time now. I have had two now working on the third. You should be able to buy one for 80.00 to 100.00. Don't forget the junkyard warranty.
