WS6 versus LT1 SS

I was at the illegal races with some buddies (I guess the illegal races have started back up).
Here's a breakdown of the night (Oh, and AWD owns all i'm finding out on the street).
My one buddy has an STS Turbocharged powered 99 Camaro LS1. He has put down over 450whp on 7 psi, which is what he was running at. We are all scurrying around trying to find out where the next spot to race will be at is. A 2004/2005 STi pulls up by my buddies Z28. He asks him if he wants to run. He says yes, and tries to disable his traction control. Good ole GM quality for you, as the button falls into the dash. The STi guy can't hear him. They launch, and the STi had a good 3-4 cars out of the hole (This car literally spun all 4 wheels for i'd say 15 ft.). He beats my buddies car, though my buddy was reeling him in.
Next run:
Some guy in a 2003 Lancer Evolution is trying to play highway runs with our group. Basically Mike and Javari (Who owns a heavily modified 300ZXTT) beat him on the freeway. I was surprised cause the Evo didn't really pull away from me at all, despite being modified.
Mike (With the Z28) agrees to run the Evo from a dig. Same results as the STi. Evo essentially blows away Mike outta the hole, and then it's just a catch up game that never happens. The guy in the Evo said he only had a catback exhaust, intake, and a boost controller. I find it hard to believe, as Mike wasn't really pulling him.
Javari (With a 300ZXTT) runs the same Evo, and gets beat pretty bad too. The Evo put a good 3 cars on him outta the hole, and even then it didn't seem like his car was catching up. I think the guy in the Evo was lying about his mods (Javari runs mid 11's).
Now my race. Some guy with an LT1 turned LS1 SS clone car asks me to run him. He had intake and some type of exhaust. I didn't really bother looking over his car, as I didn't care if I won or lost. His buddy asks me if i've ever smoked an LT1, I replied "Several". He's got an advantage in having an automatic (WTF gives with all these sports cars and automatics?). We line up. The flagger stages us. As soon as he drops his hands I let off slightly above idle, wait a few feet for the tires to catch, and roll into the throttle. After about 3K rpms up I rolled into it hard. The results were awesome, as I put a good car and a half on him off of 1st gear. Once I hit second it was more of a pull, though not as much as I would've thought, considering the other LT1's i've run. By the top of 3rd I had a good 3 cars on him, and 4th I could see him in both my side view mirrors. My buddies told me I beat him by 6 cars, others said 3 cars (Which is BS, I beat him pretty bad).
I wonder what this car will 60' at with drag radials now, but still wanna sell it. I might borrow my buddies Gtech Pro Competition and see if I can manage some sub 2.0 sec. 60' times on the street.

Yeah, on the streets I think an AWD car is going to have a decisive advantage. I also think that the guy was BS'ing about his mods. It was easily a mid 12 sec. Evo. Dunno though, i've never ran my buddies from a dig. Fools always wanna do roll races.

sounds like fun, that 300zxtt should have killed him imo, unless he has some bad turbo lag from his upgrades
awd is bad ass but i've seen awd get owned before also...plenty of times
i think your right, the guy in the evo has more than what he's claiming

AutoX is a bunch of small drag races in one run... the turns are just mini staging lanes between straight sections.
