I wasn't aware anybody made fixed headlights for the 1st gen vr4 and that targa is just plan exotic porn *although its like soft-core b/c the hardcore would be the actual spyder.*

Heh, I actually really like how that red one looks. I wouldn't mind a targa. What do you think cost to make one would be? I cant think it would be to expensive just for the fact that you wouldnt really have to add that much other than some seals and fittings to hold it in place.
The first one kind of reminds me of an Rx-7.

^that targa one is on sale at 3si.org and I think the owner said that it was 20K to make or something. The ad said that he used parts from a spyder. Ohh and isn't that the veilside body kit in the 1st pic?

Idk in a 3kgt b/c i don't know the layout of the car what really supports what btw 1st looks like a rx78 2nd option 350z. Buit like i said the targa it could be that simple but if the hatch or structal stress point is the roof that can get messy.

i've seen those headlights on those cars. do a search for "sleek headlights" and you'll get some hits. there was a user on 3si, seubanks, who bought the "sleek headlights" and he did a really good write-up in the product reviews section. basically, the headlights were a crappy fit and he had to do a lot of extra work to get them to fit.
as for the targa top, there was a guy on 3si who also did one like that by simply cutting the roof off with a reciprocating saw, adding some rubber trim, then he called it a day. the proper way to do it is to add reinforcement to the rest of the body & chassis before cutting. otherwise, when you remove a section of the roof, the car's structural integrity goes way downhill, and the chassis can twist and flex quite easily.

dude, you have the internet, right? who is your internet service provider? well they should provide you with an email acct with about 5 email addresses. setup the acct, use that e-mail address to register on 3si.

only 1 email? that's tEh suck.
ask for more?
or, if your dad's email acct is worth a darn, you could sign up using his email, then have every email ending in @3si.org forwarded to your hotmail account.
just a thought.

I like the targa look, but I'd never do it to mine for fear of price and the structual stuff that keeps getting mentioned. The spyder is badass, but IMO sports car converts are horrible lookin. I like the clear look that is on the green one, but I like the flip up lights more :)

I would so do a targa if I had lots of money that I really had no clue what to do with, lol. it looks awesome. did anyone ever see jackie chan's vr4 from one of his old movies (i wanna say thunderbird?)? it has a targa and looks damn good. some people have rumored that they were considering a targa version but never did for some reason. I guess thats one of the questions they are going to ask in the interview of that one guy that made the 3kgt.

No thats not cool at all. I don't know if any of you are into trucks (even if your not) but on that show on Spike TV called "Trucks" they would get "free" trucks given to them by Dodge, Chevy, Ford, etc. All those new trucks that he transformed such as the one with tracks (like a tank) instead of tires, the street rods, the big built up tubo diesels were all taken back by the factories that donated them and were then crushed and taken to a junkyard because they did not want to sell them with aftermarket parts on them and have something go wrong and end up with a huge lawsuit agianst them.
