oil change, engine light on

Yesterday I took my 2000 malibu in and had the oil changed. Now my engine light is on. This car has been running fine up till now. Help! What do I do now.:frown:

the easiest, is to make sure the gas cap is on correctlly. If not that, i would take it back to where you got the oil changed and confront them with it.

What mileage, engine type, etc. What are the symptoms? Go to AutoZone and they will check the codes for free.

Thanks for the input, I first checked the gas cap to see if it was on correctly . I took the car back into the shop that did the oil change and they ran a diagnostic test on it for free. It turns out I had a vacume leak. They reset it for me, I purchased a new gas cap and all is fine.:)
