nv3500 help please 4x4

hey guys ive got a nv 3500 in a 90 4x4 truck thats shot, i cant find any 4x4 trans's can i pull the rear case off the 2x4 and put my 4x4 case on it, is the output shaft the same length? and i dont have the transfercase ither which model bolts to the nv3500 thanks guys i appreciate it

The out put shaft on a 2x4 is longer that on a 4x4. I would junk the idea of using the nv3500 again and switch to the nv4500, it is a much better trans.

ok how do i find a bellhousing for a 4500and will the clutch be the same and then what t case do i use im new to manual trans's thanks sean

Clutch should be the same, according to my application guide all of the tranys used the same clutch that year. The bell house should be attached to the tranny and will bolt to your engine. As far as the t-case you should not have a problem using a 231 or a 241, but you may have to change the slip yoke on the rear drive line because they have different splined out puts on the t-case. Try searching a bone yard for a truck that has everthing still on it.
