96 Voyager 3.3 No spark problem

After doing some brake testing, namely standing on the pedal as hard as possible to see if I fixed a leak, I restarted the unit and came up with a dead cylinder. Zero spark from coil tower terminal. Continuity checked out but to be sure I swapped in a new coil. Absolutely zero spark. SPark from all other towers strong enough to knock me on my ass. I don't have equipment to test for codes. I'm thinking it's the computer as the failure appears to be immediate and terminal. Of course, I am having a hard time understanding how just one coil terminal can be affected but I think that rules out cam sensors.

Anyone have a similar situation? If I test out the unit at a shop and the box is the fault any recommendations as to whether to throw a boneyard computer in there?

Update: Fixed!

When I first discovered this problem, I disconnected the battery to re-boot the computer, just in case. I reconnected after 25 minutes with no success.
Today, I disconnected it for an hour (because I didn't want the underhood light on while it sat). Apparently, it re-booted this time as the engine is running as smooth as a baby's ass. Or as smooth as a 170K Voyager can.

MY guess is that the software got tangled up and somehow kept one coil tower from getting spark. Anyone ever have a similar expeience? Curious.
