Do you need a Carfax?

If you need a Carfax run let me know the VIN of the car and your e-mail so I can send you the report. Limit this to serious stuff guys, like cars you are thinking of buying. I did this once before and got so many requests that Carfax found out that something was up.

I have it for one month. I bought it to check out some cars and thought I would help some other people out. Also, I've sent you a PM. I need your e-mail as well.

Besides the dash the most obvious place would be on a tag under the hood. However, I've never seen a car that didn't display one on the dash.

For the vin open the door and look on the panel

As for liscense plate I don't think you can get any info that would help making a decision on buying the car or not, you'll prolly only get a name out of it, if anything at all.

VIN numbers are attached to the license plate. Becuase the license and registartion to drive is under the owners name and the car's VIN. I dont know if that information is public but if you had the hook up at the Tax Collectors...

You know Red. i have no clue. I drove newer cars and i like them. But if something goes wrong with one of mine i like to fix it...I enjoy working on cars.


btw...i fix the tail pipes that a friend just kind of stuck on there so they don't look so ridiculous now lol

I sent that to you, but it won't give you any owner information beyond the state and title number. I hope that helps you though.

Damn, I already knew the state. :( I know I ran a carfax once and It gave me the info on all previous owners. Even had my address as I had had the car for over a year when I ran it. Oh well I will see if the title number gets me anywhere. I appreciate it alot. Thanks.

really thanks on the carfax. i thought the car was in an accident since the windows weren't all nissan windows...erthing is also fine. nice to see that my car was a clean buy, since 'pops' forgot to grab it b4 he jsut went out and bought for me to pay 1/2... thanks big time. Big upps to polygon.

Well, I was glad I could help anyone, but my account was cancelled for distribution and they KNEW I was doing it in the forums. So, I wonder if someone narced on me for giving out Carfax reports. I doubt they spend their time browsing for internet postings.

So sadly, if you sent me a request and didn't get it, know you know why and I'm sorry I couldn't help. I am going to buy the Carfax again because I need it right now but I won't be giving out reports.
