Ok, i was doing a couple runs with my dsmlink logging my knock at different rpm's etc... I was wondering, HOW MUCH KNOCK IS TOO MUCH? I have all forged internals by the way. Also my knock isnt bad at all when i run 93 octane .. which i put in evertime i fuel up pretty much. But about once a week i am allowed to get my car fueled at my company cost but i can only put in 87 octane. After doing runs on 87 octane my knock is going CRAZIII ... i was just wondering .. how much knock is WAY TOO MUCH >>>???<<< THANX ALOT GUYZ ... i frikkin love automotive forums:rofl:

are you talking about wot knock? or just cruising knock. Either way, don't put that 87 octane in your car unless you're willing to retard timing quite a bit to compensate.

Yeah, 87 in a turbo car is a very big no no. You definately dont want to run that 87 shit anymore, thats a really good way to fuck up your forged internals.

Turbos don't like 87... You want nothing but the super premium or whatever they call it. The only way to run on 87 (so I heard), was to not hit boost. Then, what's the point of having a turbo then ;-)
