I might be having a problem with my car, Im not sure if it is getting too hot or not.
I just seems to me that the engine is running too hot but the temp needle still always stops just below halfway and never higher. when I do my normal drive to work if you touch the engine at all it would nearly burn if you left you hand on it for any length if time, the radiator is the same the top hose is very hot as well and the bottom hose is quite hot as well (hotter as it goes back into the engine and not as warm as it leaves the radiator).
previously if i did my usual drive the engine would obviously be very hot but it seemed slightly cooler!, but the bottom hose would be cold I had the thermostat replaced under advice, but the hose never warmed up unless you left the car idling for approx 10mins or so.
thought this was the normal condition but now that the hose os hot it makes me think that the engine is too hot now.
Also sometimes I have a problem getting the car started when you turn the ignition key the car turns over a couple of times then if feels that it is about to start but it dies instead, when you try again it does the same but splutters into life.
any suggestions?

and joykill why don't you take your own advice and only post something that has to do with the thread, posting a message insulting other people is hardly helpful, just looked at another thread and low and behold you belittled someone else, if you have any proper advice feel free to help but keep your crap scarcastic comments to yourself in short get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry i meant to say in my post there that I know absolutely nothing about cars and I only posted the message ease my fears or if anyone knows or had a similar problem so if it exists I can get it sorted out without having the expense of some looking at the car and finding nothing wrong with it. So I apologise for my lack of knowledge about cars.

Mark, what you describe does not seem to be a problem.
If you don't trust your gauge put an after market one on. It is simple to install. Go ahead and flush the system , use a 50/50 mix with distilled water.
I also found manuals on EBAY that go real cheap. If you need help please
continue to post and ignore that which is not appropiate.

Joykill,it is obvious that you are knowledgeable about these cars. Your constructive posts are helpful. My intention was for you to see how others might feel when you answer in a less then constructive manner. I only answered you the way you have answered others. Please read some of your previous posts.

Another thread that became totally unhelpful. Anyone not answering the OP's questions had better learn to ignore whatever is bothering them.
Having seen this crap being posted, I am going to be in this forum alot more now and there will be no more warnings about posting crap.
