awd tranny convert- to fwd trans

my local DSM shop (jnztuning) is going to convert my Awd tranny to a fwd turbo trans, but he told me he needs some info on this before he does, it i heard of people making adapter plates to go over where the transfere case go's but is that all i got to do, or is it more complex , if anyone seen any write ups on this question please send me the link, thanks
