well i got about 600 bucks left to spend on the car, i was wondering about sending my ECU out to get tuned or reformated, can anyone suggest where to do so or what else should be done?

I'm assuming form your name it's a esi. Don't bother with the ECU if thats the case. No real gain there. Put you car in your sig. Maybe do some suspension mods.. I dunno you run out of options real quick on a non turbo unless your david-b or the other kid on here that has a decked out 420a.
Check out david-b's sig for stuff you could do.

Honestly if you want a fast car sell the n/t ad buy a turbo, i'm sure you could get a 1g for pretty cheap. Thats really the best way to go.

so you guys are saying i shouldnt even bother getting an ECU out of a wrecked car ( my dads in the body shop bussiness) and sending my current ECU to say jet performance?

IF you did what would you expect to happen? you have a 140 hp car its not going to turn into a rocket by messing with the ecu. I agree with the suspension mods just make it look and handle a little nicer.

Well i wouldnt be to sure what to expect thats kinda why im on here asking what i could expect because ive heard good things, like im not trying to turn my car into a rocket but like someone said im running out of things to do and im asking what to expect aftyer sending my ECU to jet?

I'm sorry I can't give u a bench horsepower gain with a change of ecu. I have no experience with N/t's. All I can tell you is if you have an eprom ecu then for 600 bucks you can have dsm link and then your (continuously) in control of everything that goes on in your car not jet performance (at one instant). Then you can change your ecu as needed.

what everyone is trying to say is that it's not worth the effort. You don't need to change the fuel trims past what the computer has set for you on an NT. That money would be wasted. Save it for a turbo DSM IMO.

ok so say i was to get dsmlink...how much would it be and i really dont have a lap top to run it? is there anyone out here that can tell me if they have had an experience with ECUs from a n/t? And im waiting a year or so before getting a new car.

dsm link works only on a Turbo. You might try getting a safc II (don't get neo it blows goats) if you wanted to tune. I think david-b has one. you can adjust fuel trims with them and I'm pretty sure they work on a n/t
