I figured the prices for my b16a swap last night (lol wont happen until next year). they go as follow
1. b16a w\ Cable Transmission, ECU, Axles, Harness, Mounts,Clutch & Transmission and All accessories shipped $1700 (LSD is $350 extra, any1 seen a better deal?)
2. Hasport mounts $400
3. Hasport shift linkage $149
4. Hasport DX to SiR full harness $250
5. Conversion to manual? what parts do I need?
6. AC bracket $89
7. New hoses $100
Labor $800
total: $3488 did i forget anything?
The mods I curently plan to do are going to cost around $4k so I figure if i do that then save up for next summer i can have the engine in by this time next year..... Or should i do the D16y8 swap (kinda want more power and I would end up with turbo)? Maybe a rebuilt ZC? Well give me your suggestions..

$3400 is about right for a B16A1 swap. That's what I was quoted for mine on just a straight swap. I think you would be happier with the B16A1 instead of the ZC or the D16Y8 - D series engines can't take as much boost, and the B series have more torque for better bottom end acceleration. Good luck, what internals and stuff are you planning on doing before you turbo it??

Yeah... First time I asked my friend at the motorsport shop he said $3000-$4500 depending on your setup... And he quoted me for $3800 to switch to manual while they swapped in the b16.. Then yesterday he said $5200 (I think he was stoned tho lol).. The turbo won't come for around 5 months after the swap so I am unsure about the internals... Probaly J&E forged pistons and Eagle rods..

I haven't decided on mine yet either. But I'm going to replace pistons, rings, and rods, P&P the head, possibly sleave it, new head gasket and a few other things before I turbo it. I'm hoping for 15 lbs of boost. Should be fun.

If i were u i would sell ur car, go and buy a si with a shot engine for cheap, then do the swap. Did u actually get a quote on a auto-manual conversion?? Most of the time a the conversion wont be done right.

Yeah he said it would cost around $500 in parts and $400 in labor... Lol get a different hatch? Na a hatch with 63k... Immaculute paint... Clean interior and not rust is hard to find... Bah.. If i got a different car it would be a VW GTI, a 1994 integra, a 1995 si, a 1992-1994 legend coupe, or a VW corrado VR6.. But I am not going to sell this car so I am sticking with my dream..
