'92 Buick Regal Windshield Washer Problem

I just replaced my windshield washer pump and reservoir.There was a hose running from the pump to the upper fire wall. (Near the hood) At the end of the hose was a white plastic piece that plugged into something on the firewall.
Anyway, the white plastic piece broke off and someone said I had to replace the thingy ion the firewall. Problem is, I can't replace it because I don't know what the heck it's called.
Is there an easier way to resolve what looks like a minor or simple problem?
