92 Blazer speedometer and wiper problems

I have a 92 blazer and the speedometer will come and go and right now it is gone but sometimes it will come back for a short period of time. Also my wipers are intermittent at times. What could be the problem?

Just a guess, but they might be a related loose connection or ground.
