how to get stock bumper off?

ok, I'm going mad. I've been trying to get my front bumper off my 91 civic dx hatch for like the last 2 years and i just keep giving up, but now if i can't find a way to get it off I'm ripping it off and worry about it later.

where the heck do you unbolt it from? there is something holding it on on the top, but the ?screw/bolt? is under the welded on lip between the hood and the bumper.

help me get it off.....WAAAAAA

go figure, i'm doing a rear disc swap myself, parts all over the place, but i can't get a stupid bumper off.

front bumper....two bolts behind each of the bumper lights...two screws in each of the wheel wells...and 2-4 bolts underneath the car...think that's it..its been a long long time

Mine had like 14 bolts on the bottom.........i dunno took em all off and it came off and you have to lift it up cuz there are like hooks that go into the frame or whatever, hope you get it off

remove headlights, markers, & signal light assy. then remove the bolts behind headlights, in fender wells, & various bolts underneath. doesnt take me more than 10 min the R/R my front bumper. 91 HB Si

You dont have to take headlights off and wheel well liners...Moderator's correct...

Yeah I just did that last night.... I have done it 4 times no.. (I have no filler peice :( ) Take the bumper signals off by unscrewing the outside screw..... Then unscrew the two screws on the inner side of the wheel well on the lip of the bumper... Then using a size 13 hex unbolt the two bolts that lie directly past the bumper light space.... Go to the other side and do the same... My bumper slide off the bolts underneath so I dont know about that part...

Just Hope You Dont Have TO Take The Rear Bumper Off!!!! You Will Be Drilling Out A lot Of Screws!!!! The Moisture Goes To The Back, And The Screws All Rust, So They Just Strip!!!


The Easiest Way Is To Start From Bottom And Work Your Way Up, That Includes Behind The Bumper Lights!!!
