Moving to Vancouver (any input?)

So I've decided to move to Vancouver sometime in November to study. Anyone been there? If so, how is it? So far the ppl that i've talked to has nothing bad to say about it but i like to get more input. Like cost of living, places to go. The ppl that i've talked to only goes there to produce/dj there thats it. Im goin to be there all alone not knowing anyone there.

Thanks, I just got tipped that someone told me to live outside of Vancouver , like Burnaby. Cheaper and its not that far from Vancouver. Sounds like a good idea.
