97 Cav Gas Pedal/Throttle?

wierd situation i think, my gas pedal seems to be depressed, but the car isnt revving at all. I have to really push down hard on the gas pedal in order for it to accelerate, and from not pushing it to having it "to the floor" is about 1/4 inch of travel for the pedal.

needless to say accelerating at a normal rate is pretty difficult becouse of how hard i have to push down on the pedal. anyone have an idea of what this might be?

Loose throttle cable.

yea actually the throttle cable came off the pulley on the throttle body, never took the cover off to check there, was just checking the tension on the line.
