i did a ghetto mod to my air box. i took off that little plastic thing in the front i went to my local home in-provement store and got a some 4 inch metal flex pipe and attached it to my air box and ran it down between the engine and the radiator and attached it to the bottom of the car right below my fog lights. its crappy looking but it sure does work! better acceleration even when the car is at opp temp it used to bog down... :( im not to sure on how this affects the gas mileage yet i did it last night and i only drove the 5 miles to school today

and i will post links to pictures later today

Another way to easily get the ram air effect is to use PCV pipe (also at home depot) and run it to where you EVAP canister is. Pull the EVAP canister, mount it further in the engine bay, like near the radiator, and mount a cone filter in the hole left by the evap canister :) Not only do you get the ram air (kinda), you also get an instant cold air induction box!

Are you kidding me? Why the hell is there a "GT" emblem on that car? 1) Its a Royale. 2) Its an Oldsmobile. 3) Its just lame. Wow...at least get some LSS emblems and put those on instead of the GT and Royale, but the LSS would still make you a poser because at heart its still a Royale. lol.

Ok, now I'm laughing even harder. Not to be a super jerk, but that is a 100% grandpa car. Spoked rims and white wall tires...wait, and you still have "GT" on there. Unbelievable

This makes you no better than the posers that hang out in my town. You have to think. The GTP is lighter than an Olds 88. Dont you know that curb weight kills. Its not going to even be that fast. lol...wanna race my AMC spirit? Its only got an inline 4...plus 4 more...lol. Wow...have fun wasting your time. I'm telling you right now, its not worth it especially since its a grandma car. My 94 LSS would still beat your cars ass after you put the S2 in. My LSS has beat a 2001 Impala with the S2 and its small than the 88. lol

hah nice well whatever.. its good enough for me im only 17 my first car got smashed i miss it alot and the engine the S2 has a smaller pully on the sc then stock so what ever happens happens im still gona do it im taking the gtp tranny and engine and im throwing it into an oldsmobile its something to do and impalas suckkkkkkkk i can take them out with my car tehe its the only car i have right now and im going to put new wheels on it and im going to repaint it im just not to sure of the color yet maybe when im done high school i might get that gto ive been bitching for next year lol<-anger

Yea ok...Impalas aren't fast? No, you dont take impalas out with your olds. Ok, news flash, small pulleys dont always mean more power. The tranny might give you a small edge, but not much. I remember being young and wanting to do a bunch of shit to my car, but I never did because I didn't need to. It'll get you from point A to point B. Its not like you are going to be racing either, so why try and make it fast when all you are going to do is accel. hard and waste a ton of gas? Like I said, just sell the Olds and buy something better and faster. The only reason my olds is quick is because I pretty much overhauld the engine because it was old and needed it.

"i was offered a 93 mustang lx with a 5.0 HO in it for $4500"

Hey acidhead, keep the $4500 in yer pocket, Make no more mods to grandpa's car, now go out, Take yer time and find a nice late '60's/early 70's Cutlass Vista Cruiser Wagon, it will have a 350 ci minimum, rat rod it, nice cam/intake combo, will run mid 14's all day easy, keep the 88 for parts chasin, beat the shit out of it, and send me the piece of 4" tubing, I can use it on my clothes dryer.
Seriously tho, an lx 5.0 was never the best kept secret, Arizona DPS/New Mexico Hwy Patrol and CHP blew that cover.
