I am real disapointed, I bought my Formula 400 Firebird model, brand new kit from Revell. Usually for me, Revell has very strong plastics, thsi kits is very weak! alot of the little "knobs" for hoses etc have broken and 3mm in diameter solid plastic stalks have snapped when fixxing wheels on the car...very dissapointed. I hope this kit still looks nice in the end so I can show you all. So far its Supercharged, Metallic blue paint, gold badges & white interior. This is using parts from the box BTW. I'll get pics as soon as i can!

yea, the quality from revell never seems to be consistent or good at times, but they do offer a nice wide selection. they seem to be quantity over quality whereas tamiya is more quality over quantity. just take your time fixing whats broken/lacking and it should look good in the end.

Here's some advice: purchase some superglue. It does wonders on broken parts. But if you're not careful, it can get very messy. Just try to to glue the parts to your fingers. I'd also advise buying some cheap latex gloves.

Don't worry, I fixed it all good! Screw you Revell :flipa: !! I still like Revell but now their kits are getting worse, its true that Revell is quantity over quality, maybe i'll keep getting them for the range. I've tried superglue before but my tubes always leak and then they stick to my desk and i have to cut them off and things like that. I have bought 3 Revells since my last Tamiya(Calsonic R34) because I was so pissed off at Tamiyas transfers, tyre transfers & some fittings on that model. Tamiya is also very expensive over here averaging $45. Revell is only $20-30 but Fujimi! Boy have they skyrocketed I see them now for $65-75!!! And you cant make the engine! I like modelling but I dont want to spend that much on my models.
