Hey everyone, how the hell are things. I've been in school for the past month and haven't really been able to get any computer time. I'm at Wyotech and it's a really great school, it's nice as hell! I'm learning a helluva alot here, so it'll be worth it in the long run. But people, I've got some good news and some bad. First the bad. I crashed the IROC. I'm pissed about that. I hit a tree at 40mph, due to some gravel on the road and an unsupervised "drift". I got what i deserved. I shouldn't have listen to these bums. But you live and you learn from your mistakes. The good news is now I'm getting a HONDA!!!
SIKE!!!! There's no way in hell I'd do something like that. I just got a really nice RS with the body in helluva alot better shape than my IROC. So i'm gonna swap everything from the IROC into the RS (which is a V6 btw), it will be a nice little project, but I've got plenty of time. There will be some things that I'm parting out, which I'll let whoever what to know in due time. I was going to swap in an LT1, but got shafted hard because the guy basically lead me on. I'll keep everyone posted about things, and I'll try to get on here more frequently. Later.

Damn Link, sorry to hear about that. Both the car and the motor. I have a LT1 block sitting in the garage that you can have for whatever he offered it to you. It has crank and pistons and rods all with about 70K (I think your pretty close to me now too). I can probably also get you a set of LT1 aluminum heads for around 150.00 and still have a intake manifold for you. BTW thanks again for the awesome deal on the paxton.

I acutally did take pics of the wreck. If you want to see, i'll try to get them posted in due time. I'll also post pics of the RS to. This swap is going to be fun. Wrightz28, it was a dumb moive to listen to this pricks out here, there not gonna help you when you smash your vehicle so why fo the burn out. I have no explanation for it but pure stupidity. I'm taking the automotive course and i'm learning a whole lot of good sh**.

I know you're taking the automotive course, what class are you currently in (steering & suspension, gen. engine?, etc.)
Also, if you're bringing your own car in, never assume it's safe man, even for a second. If I had to absolutely use the washroom, or needed a break, I always closed it up,and put the lift down. Can't trust noone.

To be honest with you guys.... I have no fucking clue what you are talking about. WTF is an unsupervised "drift"... and what pricks told who what, that burned out the elves who were baking cookies?

Oky Jim, wake up and go back to sleep
Drifting = You know how on snow witha rear wheel drive car, there's that certain point you can intentionally fishtail to and scare the piss out of whoever is in the passenger seat? Well now it's the same concept except on asphalt. Must be fun having to replace spider gears every month
Pricks = Those that Link blames for "making him do it", that he's at school with.
Baking cookies,= Just what he does, now bake my damn cookies Link! :D

Yeah, I'm usually not the type who falls for peers pressure but the one time i did it was pretty much gameover. Wrightz28, I'm in EMS2 right now (which is engine management systems). We're learning how to diagnosis cars with genesys and modest. It's pretty damn cool. As a test, the instructor will put a bug in the car and we have to find out what the hell he did, and not by visualizing it. I'm get to baking those cookies now. Chocolate chip or sugar anyone?

Genesis is god! If I had the 6 grand laying around I'd have on for sure. OBDI and II, gas analyzer, and oscilloscpe all in one.
I want the cookies with the special ingredients.

yeahyeahyeah... what the hell is an UNSUPERVISED DRIFT????:dunno: Is that kinda like sleep driving... or getting a hummer while driving and jamming on the gas at the end???:shakehead  If so he needs to get more practice at that or he's gonna crack up more maro's than he should be allowed to.
Link's a baker??? WTF is he doing in automotive school then?
HEY LINK! You're supposed to TOSS cookies, not BAKE them! At least you're not EATING them... EWWWWWWW!!!

An "unsupervised" drift would be one that isn't on a track... Not 100% legal, but still fun as hell.

Thank you for the clarification. Sometimes us old guys need a smack in the head to get up to speed (so to speak) with you young guys.
Why'd Dylan know that and not me? He spends his free time playing with cars, I spend mine picking up dog shit that weighs about as much as I do.

Link, have you already been through chassis and drivetrain? I'm in chassis fab right now, that's where you learn the fun stuff. I'm going to be in street rod next, good times. I went through auto as well.
