My buddy is selling his dropzome shocks and springs to me brand new(he totalled his car and didnt have time to put them on) for 250$. Are those shocks and springs any good or will they mess something up?

I personally would go with APC lowering springs before I went with DropZone.
(Now that's saying something )

well this is my problem. When i go around a left turn my wheels rub and shave off my tire. So I thought i needed new shocks in the back. I have 18's all around.
So what do i need to stop that?
And what is understeer?

"When i go around a left turn my wheels rub and shave off my tire"
Your camber is out.
Try this out.

Don't forget to get an entire wheel alignment. Better yet, get a wheel alignment and see what is off before you start.

I think the problem is wheel size. If those are wide enough and you didn't put spacers on, that would also cause rub. Lowering your car will only make it worse.

Spacers. Speaking of spacers, ive been looking for a cheap set of 25 mm for my civic...any help or suggestions? Wow 18 inch is flipping huge!! I wonder how u fit those on ur car?

He didn't fit them, they are a rubbin :)

Spacers, are those hubcentric spacers or whatever. where do i get those at.
and they do fit, because none of the other wheels rub. they are 215 35 18 and the dudes at tiresplus said they are tight but they fit.
i thought by putting stiffer shocks on it would help from the car not lean so much therefore not rub.
where do i check my camber angle. like what place.
oh yeah and im on a laptop and the question mark key doesnt work so i cant use slashes or question marks.

You can check the camber by setting the car on level ground and using a plumb (weight on a string). By placing the plumb at the top of the arc of the wheel well and letting it hang almost to the ground you can compare the straight line of the string to the line of the wheel. If the wheel is off then you camber is off.
Yes by using stiffer struts you will reduce the ammount of movement causing the camber to change while you drive but by using a set of lowering springs you force the wheels to sit in a position that changes the camber from the stock setting. That's why you see cars that have been lowered 4 inches and their wheels look like this //------\\. If you camber is off the best solution to the problem is to use a camber adjustment kit.
Yes I was talking about hub centric spacers. I have no idea where to get them and 18 inches is the largest wheel size you can fit onto a honda civic without making changes to the speed sensors. Because of how wide the tires are they require a hub centric spacer and they reduce the turning radius, especially on lowered cars.

Auto shops can only align toe for the rear, toe and castor for the front. They can measure the degree of the camber though.

hey fibreglass, thats a pretty flipping sweet way to measure rear camber. i guess you just need to be mechanically inclined and have some basic knowhow and youre set to do camber adjustments. After all, they did it in the old days with hardly the technology we have these days. And yea, the spacers come in mm. I saw some from eibach i think. I forgot where i saw the 25mm ones, but was kinda hard to find 25 mm...... the only reason i need them is for autocross, i use hot stock 13 inchers =)

wow, im going to do that with the bolts. That wont mess anything up will it?
I dont understand what I would need those spacers for. Where would you put those?

Hey, do you think my camber could be off because the rear wheel bearing is messed up? could that make the problem of the wheel wobbling?
