So I'm broke as shit, and my brakes were giving me that really loud warning sound. So i went to my friend's shop and bought rear HPS hawk pads and brembo rotors, they hooked it up and it only costed me $138 for rears shipped. I suck at mechanical work, so the shop was goin to charge me $100 for installation, but my other friend coming up from FL said he could help me, and that he was a mechanic and did plenty of brake jobs before. So I opted instead to have my friend install it.
We took out the rotors and the brake pads, my inner brake pad was so warn that it was metal on metal. We put on our new brake pads and rotors, and the caliper was a bitch. My friend though he could push in the piston with his hands, though everyone told me different. I eventually bought a brake kit b/c it wasn't working, we had to twist it in. The drivers side installation went smoothly and fine. Then the passenger side was more of a bitch. When we finally got to the caliper, the piston froze on us, would not compress anymore, so I had to buy a new caliper.
I have an s14, but my friend suggested to use an s13, (other friend had a spare s13 caliper). I did some research and a lot of ppl said they were interchangable, u just had to change the ebrake cable. We also tested the s13 caliper on another car and it worked fine. So he changed out the ebrake cable assembly, and installed in the s13 caliper fine. Well everything went back together fine, and i drove it around. The damn caliper seized on the rotors and warped em, and it was so it was smoking. the brake pad metal almost melted. So now i have to buy everything new again b/c that caliper fucked up that side, warped the rotor, and the brkae pad is useless. Got to buy new rear pads and rotors, and a new caliper, will cost me around $400. Fucking sucks
won't be able to drive my 240 till I start working again which won't be for another month or so.

That sucks though, but welcome to owning an old sports car.
That reminds me of my old RX-7's. <siiiigh> brings a tear to my eye. Almost.
