Photoshopped or not?

What do you guys think about this picture? Was it photoshopped or is it for real? There was a discussion on this picture on some other forum (can't remember where it was) and people were arguing over if this was real or not. Some were saying that it isn't real because the firewall on the integra would get in the way but others were insisting it was real, but they never had any actual proof. So what do you think?

I've actually seen this somewhere else before and it always fools me, but I do remember seeing the "before" pic with it too, I still think it's damn good

its a 100% fake. first the shadow cast by the strut tower braces is either nonexistant or so close to the bar that the engine would have to be touching it. second it wouldn't fit. third i've seen the before picture. regardless its a really convincing work.

here's some photo's of the actual car: http://www3.sympatico.ca/h.leung/Integra/

the strut brace thingy has a white cut&paste line right on the viper logo. If it wasnt for that i would think it was real

where is the before pic...im not sure i beleive you, it might fit...a tight fit...but maybe he got an engine swap, unless i see the before shot at that same angle i would still think it possible its real

I can almost guarantee it is fake. 1. don't you think the person with the money to do this swap would have larger than stock brakes/bigger wheels, considering the engine and transmission probably weigh 3-4 times what the stock one does. 2. clearance issues, the fire wall shows no sign of modification, and for the bell housing and tranny , not to mention the enigne to fit, there would be some major work, it looks to stock 3. big ass engine, where is the room for the steering?? 4. there is air brushing all over it, to the point it looks fake.

dude, click on the link that one guy put up. it shows the interior with all those gauges and shit, why would someone put that many gauges in a car with a stock engine... and those wheels are aftermarket but im not so sure i can say the same about the brakes. and maybe the guy doesn't have a lot of money, maybe hes a GOOD mechanic and he bought the engine cheap from ebay.

You didn't really do anything to it just change the color.. The hard part was the original engine transplant

He also fixed the strut bar, he seems to have raised it a little and added the shadow. I am sure if you have the exact same angles on the car you could do a job that looked that good. It has to be fake though, putting a Viper engine in an integra would only be good for drag setup, you would need a lot more safety equipment in your car to handle an engine like that. That car would fly if it were real, integra is so much lighter compared to a Viper. To me it would be a waste of money unless you were using it for all out drag.

You could have spent the money on a real Viper, and Integra and a Skyline all not stock. Keep in mind I might be over exaggerating, I don't really know how much it would cost to buimp back the firewall, and rearagne a Viper Engine, and convert FF to FR.

I don't think the link that was given is the same car either. It looks like someone either saw that pic and saved it cuz it was a cool color, and they wanted it on thier car. Unless if they have more pics of thier car and they have different rims front and back.

The brakes are stock, just have slotted rotors, those are stock honda calipers, and the wheels are still like 16's, cheap enkies. you would thik someone with a viper engine would spend the extra $2k

Put another way: to fit a Viper transmission, a T56, you would have to do some MASSIVE reconstruction of the floor panels and bell housing. And with the 488 ci V10 forget about keeping it fwd. Even if it were hypothetically possible with 490 ft/lb of torque at attained at a very low rpm and fwd try and imagine what it would be like coming off the line. To convert to rear wheel drive without going to tube-frame chassis you'd need a fabricated K-frame and build a transmission tunnel from scratch to house the driveshaft not to mention the rear differentials. Not impossible to do but incredibly difficult work nonetheless.. you'd be pressed to find a body shop that would be willing to even take on that task. A recessed firewall along with such a massive tranny would mean you'd probably need to sit in the back seat to shift. When you think about it the actual Viper's seats are located right about where the rear seat would be in most cars..

Besides the other facts stated above, has anyone else notices how clean the rest of the car looks compared to the engine and strut bar. The strut bar has jaggy edges on it and the engine is pixilated. It is NO DOUBT a fake just by looking at it. Hell I would kill to be able to fit a 426, 511, or 528 Hemi under the hood of my car, but it ain't going to happen without the help of Photoshop.

It's so fake it's not even funny.

A small block V8 would most likely barely fit in any type of Honda except maybe the S2000 because of it's long hood. Too fit a V10 in an Integra is like saying Rosie O'Donnel will become skinny. No way will a 488 c.i engine ever fit in a Integra it's virtually impossible. Plus you can see some very very very small mistakes, but they're barely noticeable.

I can see why people can take this as being real.

Also about the PT Cruiser, I heard Hennessey was going to make the PT Cruiser the PT Crusher with a Viper V10 in the back of it. Hennessey said it would be very hard to get a V10 into the PT's engine bay. I dunno.

uh dude...if you even bothered to click on the links you would notice that they did put a viper engine in the engine bay of a pt cruiser...and its not called the pt chrusher...its the pt/10 :finger:
