I'm selling my car.

Yap, the time has come and I'm getting rid of my car. I drove my friends EG this weekend with a B16 in it and I'm in love, they're just so much more cozy inside which is what I need because I'm always driving around the lady.

Anyway, it's not really a hidden for sale thread or anything, just letting people know I've decided to let go.
(for $3000cdn) :smooch:

Are you blowing kisses at me?

I tend to never own a car for more than two years, I get bored with them after that, so change is good (in the house of flies).

I've had it for 6 years. The polyurethane mounts are really starting to get to me, I need something more cozy.

It really doesn't seem like I'm going to sell it anyway. I'm sick of it though, I need something with rubber mounts. :(
(still DOHC VTEC power though)

My mounts tend to drive me a tiny bit nuts...just a tiny bit, most of it is because of the cowl over my gauges, it vibrates at certain rpm and makes the most annoying rattlem then I smack it and it goes away for about 30 seconds..its the ring around the inside that actually touches the cluster face..like a buzz, grrrrr.

Is it loud as hell on the highway?! When I'm taking a trip (something I regularly do, probably weekly) for 2-4 hours of driving, with my girlfriend in the car, the buzzing is just too intense for that long. I used to have ear plugs in the car for the ladies and I thought it was funny. It was actually, when I was 18.

I'm not 18 anymore and its not funny anymore.

Well the engine is a little loud on the highway, but Its not too bad..my exhaust has a nice tone, and with the windows down I dont even hear it most time..But the buzzing from trim pieces drives me nuts, and its embarrasing...

Oh, and 3,000 CAD is 2,681.44 USD

man I understand. I love the 4g. but it isn't as comfy for daily driving as some of the newer cars. most 4g's don't have any power options (except for sedan & added options by original owner). shoot, 4g doesn't have the safety options. ins was cheaper on the 97 GS integra than the 90 Si. they told me I was less likely to die in the GS with all the modern safety (ABS, airbags, side impact beams).

on the flip side...anybody who daily drives their modified car knows it requires a lot of extra money. wear & tear bites the big one.

even if you do sell your 4g we all know you'll be back. you can't argue with power to weight. you'll come to your sences and have 2 cars :naughty:

That's another thing about it. I'm always with my girlfriend. She thinks I'm an idiot for wanting two cars because she says that young people don't need two cars, its too much money. Also because of her I'd like to have dual airbags, I'm really wanting an EG or EK.

Aboot the power to weight thing, like I said I got hooked on the idea of getting a new car when I drove my friends EG with a B16. The newer B16s have a little more power, so the difference between the two is marginal. Besides, I have a CRV block, and a GSR head that could go in a new car if I were to get one.

Right now there's no real interest in my car anyway, some people offered me like 2Gs and I told them I'll plant flowers in it if that's the most I can get. I'm half tempted to just go out and buy a new car anyway, and that still might happen. Once I get to drive it for a while I might change my mind about how much like love my EF and let go of it for 2Gs.

The new b16's pnly have more power in the jdm version, unless your referring to the older ones just being tired, in which case some would agree.

I think even the USDM ones are underrated. Have you seen a 1st gen B16 intake manifold beside any newer B16 manifold? The difference is obvious just to the naked eye. Plus, the talk about the cams being weaker. (I dunno about that though)

Anyway, for my new car it's going to be CRVTEC.

I know you are very opinionated...not mater what any of us says you are going to do what you want. which is fine and dandy....i'm the same way :icon16:

all I have to say is owning a honda shop i've been very lucky to own or at least drive all the diffent honda/acuras' with all different engines.....

we have a customer who was a beliver that his 96 EX with b20/vtec was the shit. jer took him a spin in the b16 4th gen...dude could not believe the pull...so he went out and got a 90 si for his b set-up.

after we sold our b16 hatch there was a lot of debate what should we build for $5000....there are all kinds of options. decided to go with the c5. I can't even tell you what a great decision. I could go on and go...but i'll spare the rest of the readers my babble. let me end with this...you should seriously drop a c5 into what ever chasis you get. as a b series enthusiast, you seriously won't be disappointed.

we should pick this up in a pm or over the telly. I gots some opinions, y0!

SiZ

I've got tonnes of pictures of the car and can take lots more.
Put the EF on a train you say?
I don't even think I'd be willing to drive to the edge of Ontario to sell it, I'm sure it will sell.
But I'll ship it if you'd like. :)
