Just got the Z a couple days ago and so far i'm pretty much content with it as is. It came to me with an injen intake, cf front strut bar, white gauges with "z24" on them that glow red, clear heater knobs with the white heater knob panel and the dashlight dimmer panel is also white with "z24" on it. I like the 03+ Ls sport chrome rims so I'm in no rush to get the new ones and I like the black/red stock interior. But aside from that I'm gonna work on the exterior lighting and minor exterior stuff. Black TYC taillights, cf rear trunk panel from Rksport, Black angel eye+projector headlights, cf side mirrors with led signals, and cf door pillar covers. I might do some interior painting but not sure. I just put a new red/chrome/cf shift knob, clear corners for now and a euro antenna on it. That's it for now, I gotta work on getting it registered ;)

Ha Ha... I love moochin off my rents. Its a beautiful thing to be able to afford what i got. Then again my rents are divorced and i have to deal with that emotional good ness of not having a dad around. But he has to pay a good chunk of my tuition so for 2 years of college I only have 3,500 worth of student loans...

paying off the massive amount of debt my cavalier has put me into and selling it. Its not worth it to mod anymore to make it faster. Ive realised these cars have very little potential without spending lots of money once you get to a certain point.

I have just about done everything i want to do with it, and im happy with the point shes at. Ive been itching to move out for months. Plus I make enough untaxed money through my art that Ill still be able to mod.

Get my body kit installed (once i get it ordered o.O) I have the fenders, a roof scoop im not sure im going to install, and a new spoiler already. Just need the basic kit bumpers and skirts.
Also need to get my FF7's ordered and install my 17x7's that are impatiently sitting in the garage (re: picture)
Once i get the body work done, im getting a fresh coat of black put on it when i get the new parts painted, and im thinking about putting some sort of dark grey design painted on the sides.
Hopefully i can get it done this summer, The rest of the car is pretty much complete (engine and interior).

I just sold my horse, so with my next paycheck I'll have $1300 or so to put into my Z24. Right now I'm debating as to whether I'm going to do the suspension or kit it first. I can't lower it more than an inch, on the roads where I live or I'll smash the kit off the first day it's on, and if I want to race it I can't put bags on. I think I might get my body kit. I've picked out a 4 piece Avenger kit with a Voltex rear bumper.
Tough call.
Other than that, when I get the money. I'm painting the interior, painting a bunch of the engine components met. blue, new guages, new head lights, new tail lights, new corner lights, new fenders, and if I can somehow come up with the money new seats.

You know the Eibach Pro kit only lowers it 1.6" right?

Fair enough but I'm worried that if I lower it anymore than stock I'll rip the kit apart. One of my friends just kitted his Mazda Protege and the front end already looks dangerously close to the ground especially when crossing railway tracks and the like.
I would really like to lower it though. How much of a hassle is it to drive on a regular day basis with a cav lowered and kitted? Watching for bumps and other obstacles. (I haven't driven a dropped car before)
I know 1.4" isn't that big of a drop, but I'm trying to be as careful as possible.

you could always get some bigger rims and got wiht a decent tire and stay off the ground a little more

I am getting some 17's or maybe even 18's, with some lower pro's. I'm just trying to take everything into consideration because I'm definetely not an expert at this.
Dropping it with the eibach kit sounds like a good idea, but I think I'll kit it first and get some bigger rims to see how much clearance it gives me before I make my final decision. I mean if I don't have enough clearance after that, which I should, I could install an anti-roll sway bar kit to gain some of the stability I'm looking for.

If your looking for performance, 16s are the way to go.

I'm looking for a compromise. I want the car to look nice as well as go considerably faster than stock.(I'm boosting it) I'm not expecting to turn my car into a rocket, I just want to have some fun with it as this is my first project car.

Yea i am looking for some new rims but deffently going with 16's. Cheaper on rims and tires and don't look horrible with all that steel. Plus gives you enough rubber to keep that road nice and tight

Heh... you don't "feel" the road rocking 16"s. Put a quality sport suspension on your car, rock 18"s... Oh boy you feel every imperfection on the road. Like cracks in the pavement.
If your looking for performance, get yourself a set of Motegi Trak-lites in 17"s.. They are forged wheels and weight 15lbs a piece. You just unfortunatly pay through the nose for em... lol.

Agreed but there is not enough room to put an 18 and a good bit of rubber without making it look bad

ive had 16x6's on my car for awhile, they arent "Bad" persay but 17 definatly look nicer and i havent noticed any drop in performance at all. It actually corners alot better and handles a bit better as well, i also widened them a lil in buying the 17x7's.
215/45/17 is the size you need in rubber if you wanna check out prices.
i could be wrong but i dont think 18's fit on the car at all unless you mod something pretty good. definatly not 18x7, youll rub and smack your well every time you hit a pebble.
