hello gents, I searched the forum for various related issues but here is what i have:

97 aurora with 115k miles on it

i replaced the starter and the battery and she wont turn over even with starting fluid, i checked all teh fuses and teh fuel pump things seem to be fine, i have a feeling she aint getting spark but im so frustrated at this car right now i cant think straight

i welcome all comments, suggestions, thermite and incindiary weapons at this point :)

So it cranks but doesn't fire?

Any SES light?

If you tried starting fluid and the engine cranks then it's def spark related.

was it OK b4 the starter and battery or did you replace then in an attempt to get it started?

Try The Aurora Club of North America and post this problem in the Mechanical Maintinence section.

weel it wont sart witht he starting fluid, and there is an ses light on, but i plug the scan tool in and it sais that there are no codes and that the light should be off, when i yanked the im off i noticed the lead terminal on the starter had no nut to secure the cable and so current was arcing it and fried out that section of the starter smoke, etc.. very crispy

i checked all my fuses, battery was replaced as i still ahd the oem one in there after all these years, and im trying to stay away from the dealer if possible
