okay i have this super high pictch "squeek".

it only happends between 1 mph and like 36ish mph

the slower i go the louder it is. only happends when moving. and it comes and goes. well today it was coming, and loud. i noticed if i feather the brakes to goes away instantly. so i'm assumeing its the brakes. last time i got my breaks checked out 2k miles ago, they said they were like almost new.

someone said that i coudl have glazed them over? and they just need a scuff on the pads and/or rotors.

ideas? is this a big deal? cost?

thanks

had you not driven the car lately? Try going about 60mph on a deserted road and slamming the breaks to a complete stop a few times. If there is any buildup that should get rid of it.

or.. maybe your breaks are dead and need to be changed

I think your getting the squek because of the little amount of pressure you need to stop the caliper is moving slowly across the break pad and causing the squeak sound. So try some anti sqweek on the pads. Just a thought.

do you have a wear indicator on your pads? if so it could be rubbing... indicating you need new brakes.
