Pluggin in RX7 in winter

Well i was talking to this guy about my 87 RX7 N/A and he told me that when winter comes and since im in Milwaukee Wisconsin which gets pretty cold he told me that i have to plug it in to and electrical outlet so that the rotor keeps warm. I was lost when he told me this is it true? if so were is that plug located. What if i dont plan to drive this car in winter what so ever do i still need to plug it in? Ohh also what is the zubzero liquid for and where can i get it...

I would assume he means a block warmer which you would have to install. I don't think it would be necessary since plenty of people run their RX-7's year round in Canada.

Sub-zero starting fluid is a mixture of 90% antifreeze and 10% water. Specs should be in your owner's manual.

Had to keep mine plugged in in the winter, if I didn't I'd have to push start the poor thing:( She just doesn't like the cold. Red Deer Alberta is where I am at.

So u had to plug it in Capt.Moe so you had to install a block warmer how does that work you think is necessery if im not goin to drive it in winter, if it is were can i get a block warmer and how much would it cost.

If you have no plans on driving it during the winter you can always drain all of the coolant if you're afraid that the block might bust.

well, where I got my motor from I had them install a recirculating block heater it helped wonders in the winter. if she wasn't plugged in she'd be way to cold and not for a proper seal in the housings thus causing her to flood out.
If you do not plan on driving her at all in the winter, park her inside from the weather, drain the coolant. be about your best option. But regaurdless, keep her inside if you can at all times of the winter.
Depending where you go you can usually find block heaters anywhere from 50-400 dollars, installing them takes time, just read the instructions.
