Windshield wiper motor replacement?!

A while ago the windshield wiper wouldn't come on or just stop. The problem went away for a few months, but it's back now: wipers won't come on/stop/won't park.
I assume it's the circuit board of the wiper motor - correct?
I got a motor from the junk yard (it's a '99 or '00 if I remember correctly), are there any particulars I need to look out for when swapping the wiper motor?
Should I check the solders on the used one?
