I keep looking for pics, guess I've been wasting my time. If there is insurance involved, and I'm sure there was, where are the pics? The insurance company would want them.....

Usually you cant insure an invisible car.

Now I think about it, a $100,000 AUD Ford Falcon race car is fully plausible, especially if owned by a company, PROVIDED that it's a new FPV GT, by the time you've gotten a cage, suspension, brakes, tyres, engine mods into the equation, the price tag would easily be passing beyond the $100,000 AU mark. (I think the new price is something like AU$75,000).

as 2.2 previously said, the BS flag is waving proudly. The wrecker does not own the car. Your company would and after the insurance settlement the insurance company would own it. Then and only then the wrecking yard could posibly buy it, otherwise it would be grand theft auto (yeah like the game you probably played which btw is likely the closest you've ever been to racing a car;))

That said, let me spell out why you're having a tough time:

IF your story is true that you flipped an expensive race car, IF you left the track before it was towed and therefore didn't take pics, IF no one else in the crew bothered to take pictures of it, and IF, before you could get to the shop (ostensibly to take pictures) they sold your vehicle for some paltry sum when it was worth far more, then I would say you have a lawsuit against the shop for doing so.

However, there are simply too many "IFs" for your story to be plausible.
