cuz i have an rx7 model that my friend gave me and it was blue , and i wanted to change it to white ... so i painted it to white and it came out realy good, so i started thinking how cool will it be if i'll build my own car model.. like a moded civic or an integra :icon16: :screwy:

Visit the Diecast Car Modeling (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1144) & Car Modeling (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=927) forum.
A simple search will lead you to a pretty big amount of information about building and modifying your models.

models come with instructions. no, that wasn't some joke to make out you're an idiot. they're simple, depending on detail.

I saw this when it was in the sketching forum and meant to ask, do you mean you want to put a model kit together or make your own from scratch?

Revell sells both civic and acura integra kits that can be built stock or modified with body kits that are included. You can paint them any color that you'd like.

You mean start with a diecast model and redo it?
http://www.speedzoneusa.com/senna8818.jpg
Sure, it can be done. But it's going to be easier, probably cheaper, and more fun to start with a kit and build it up your self.

There's plenty of info here on how to go about it.

I'm not sure where you will find a body kit for that.

A little bit of searching would have saved you some trouble. There've been dozens off topics about wheels.
www.hlj.com (http://www.hlj.com) for one.

Thats what the FAQ, Tutorial Depository, ScaleWiki, and search feature are for.

That is when you want to put on a readily available body kit. If you want to make your own, you'll need something called epoxy putty.
It's made of two parts, and you mix them together to create your own object. It's like sculpting clay, and really easy to use. The mixed putty hardens in 4-6 hours, and after that, you can carve and sand it into the final shape.

There are 2 possibilities to this:
1. The paint didn't have enough time to cure. (note: if the surface is dry it does not neccecarlily mean that the paint is fully dry (cured) ).
2. The paint wasn't properly mixed.
As to reply what type of paint to use...Nearly everyone here uses Tamiya TS (spray cans) once in a while (or in my case every time)... It's the best way for a begginer to paint a body. But... search a bit on spray painting techniques...
I spent around 1 week reading through the FAQ's and How-To sections when I first found this site, and I look back into those sections quite often.
READ THE STICKIES. You'll learn a lot and save yourself a lot of time.
