Well mostly they are more detailed, I have one that has rollup windows as well as authentic working steering.
Glue joints are more important because of the sheer weight of 1/8 or
1/12 scale parts and they are very impressive looking !

i made a revell/monogram 1957 Chevy Bel Air in 1/12 scale. it wasnt any more detailed than a 1/24 model other than the spark plug wires and radiator tubing. the thing doesnt steer, but it looks reaaly nice.

Twenty some-odd years ago I was fortunate enough to obtain a couple of the 1/8 scale Pocher models very cheaply. I got both of them for under $100.00 US. I currently have a Monogram 1/8 scale Iroc Z Camaro that I plan on drastically customizing (including fins a la 57 chevy) and a 1/16 scale AMT/ERTL 57 Corvette. Not only do the larger kits have greater detail, but they are easier to add detail to.:D
