my question is, there is supposed to be a ferule and something that causes compression right? Because the line doesn't stay in isn't it supposed to go all the way to the fitting on the gauge? (I know no all the way but at least to that point) It doesn't fit all the way into the other little brass fitting it just enters it, but doesn't go even a 1/4 of the way in. HELP!?

You need a compression fitting (hmm deja vou?) You should be able to get one a lowes or an auto parts store

I emailed autometer and got a few of those ferruls sent to me for free, if that helps.
But then I got the copper tubing kit and haven't looked back. The nylon hose will kink and leak, causing huge problems.
