Tool to remove ball joint

I was trying to find the tool that is pictured in the Helm's manual, but I can't. I was wondering if there is another way to safely remove and install the ball joint and whether or not the cheap fork tool at pepboys is good enough for the job.

I just put this site together and it hs instructions to remove the ball joint from the control arm. You just place the cheap autozone tie rod puller into place and screw it up until it pops.......

Check out the site for pics. But, I have never removed an OEM ball joint, since the skunk2 came with all that :alien:
