If you already replaced your clutch, I say check your axles, they might be popping out halfway from your tranny input.

My drivers axle was halfway out and that damn thing would shudder like a mofo while decelerating in gear..at first, later on it startedto do it while just driving, pissed me off, took a look and it had no ring to hold it in!

on drivers side should you see any of axelshaft that goes into transaxel? or does the inner cv joint go right up against tranny?

On the drivers side the shaft goes into an intermediate shaft, or an extension if you will. That runs into the transmission, th passenger side goes straight into the diff.

Wait im pretty sure a stock d-series tranny in a 4th gen doesnt have an intermediate shaft. These cars have a longer drivers side axle and do not use intermediate shafts. So you technically should not see any of the axle input hanging out of the tranny. The cv joint area should be pressed up snug at tight against the differential housing.

Hmm so if the zc tranny's got an intermediate shaft, do d-series EG's come with them too, what about EK's, do only 4th gen d-series trannys not have intermediate shafts? I know all b-series tranny's come with them.

No kidding, that would be at least $50 just for them to tell you the damn thing was out.
