hi, just got most of the parts to turbo kit for my d16y8. i have one problem though, when the turbo is bolted on to the honda cx manifold(t3) turbo, the wastegate actuator won't clear the block, its about .5 in too big, what should i do?any suggestions, also anybody who has done the setup with hf/std/cx manifold with t3 turbo, what did you guys do, thanks for the help everybody.

did you rotate the housing? did you re-mount the wga?

yes i rotated the housing, but the wastegate has to bolt back in the same position. it is not the housing that doesn't clear the block, its the wastegate actuator, i don't know what to do now. i was thinking about making an adapter plate that positions the turbo out about 45 degrees, but still i don't know if that would work, have you had any problems like this before. i just drained my ac system today, will probably remove the ac next weekend in order to fit the turbo in there. also the power steering bracket gets in the way of the wastegate actuator also, what should i do? thanks

That's what I was going to suggest...Put something in there between the manifold and the turbo to give you a little bit more space...Something like an adapter plate...I think that might work...

yeah thats how I'm gonna make my plate, most are usually 4X4X3/4 but you may need to increase the thickness had have an angle on it. I'm currently making a prototype adapter out of wood just to make sure everything will work.
