switching trannys

So if and when I ever get the torque arm off I'll probably be putting a turbo 350 in for a short time. Will this change the way it goes in enough that I'll need to get additional parts? Cuz I heard from somewhat unreliable sources that it was much different then a 700r4? thanks in advance.
