crazy electrical issues

this is on my moms 99 Venture, and is the weirdest thing i have ever seen.
from time to time, seemingly after getting wet, her ABS light will come on, and i think she said several other lights come on as well, but i cant confirm that one.
now heres the weird thing, when the ABS light is on, she has both back brake lights, but one seems brighter than the other, her left blinker works as it should, but the right blinker alternates between blinking the turn signal and blinking the brake lights, like its an emergency vehicle or something.
our mechanic checked out the brake system and everything is fine, i believe he said that the code simply stated the brake system was faulty, which it works fine.
we have several low water crossings around here, and with all this rain, our cars get wet, its a fact of life....so a few electrical problems might be understandable, but this crap is just weird.
Any thoughts at all? she told me her ABS light was coming on intermittently and i just figured one of her wheel speed sensors was loose or something, which they were fine....so im stumped for now.

I also had some really strange electrical stuff going on with my 99 venture. Some one suggested I have a look at the rear tail lights. Sure enough I found a corroded connector at the right tail light, bought a new circuit board for the light and a repair connector from GM and all my problems went away. good luck
