Brake fluid light came on, along with the " bong, bong, bong" that I couldn't turn off. Checked fluid and it needed some. Added DOT3 fluid.
Light stays on with "boing, boing , boing" :screwy:
Never felt any change in brake pedal pressure or difference in brakes.
How can I reset the light and "boing boing boing. LOL. it's driving me crazy:banghead:
WHat could cause it to stay on?
thanks..

It's the "red brake fluid" light.

that indicator is for "hard" failure of brake system.
Shouldnt really be driven until its fixed.
This is why you get an annoying chime.
You may have air trapped in the ABS unit, due to running low on fluid.
next question is why did it run low?
Unless you have a leak it shouldnt run low.
Fix the leak and flush your entire brake system with good LMA
DOT 3 fluid.

Tony, I had the same problem with my 1995. The tank gets so gummed up and clogged that becomes inaccurate. I left my level indicator disconnected, then I got a new master cylinder with new reservoir, and i hooked it back up, and it worked fine.
either disconnect the sensor, get a new master cylinder, or have your brake system flushed.

The light and "boing, boing" went off the next day.:nono:
Anyhow, while putting new wires/plugs on I did notice a small drip under the master cylinder. Hmm , that's where the fluid went. I will keep an eye on it.
What's the procedure for replacing a master cylinder.. Is it involved..
