We'll. Ever sence I bought Dsmlink I've realised how Important Tuning is. You never really begin to understand it untill your get burried 3 feet deep in what you thougt was a pretty decent setup, only to realise you're shit was never runing very well, you have a boost leak, you have horrable LTFT's, your g/rev are fucked, and your timing is being pulled down to 7-8 (on a good day) at 5500+RPM while your CEL flashes in your eyes; all the time thinking to yourself; "WTF is going on?"
Well, I got fed up with it. I'm injecting H20 into my combustion chamber. After I figure out how to get my Timing up without H20, I'll be pretty happy!
The3.3bar map will actually let me read some accurate boost. I'm getting sick of looking at 14 psi on my logs but seeing 19psi on my gauge..

I was thinking o doing h2o injection too, i'm getting 9:1 pistons so i'll definetely need it when i turn the boost up. Let me know where you get it from. I know a place called cooling mist makes diy parts but it would cost almost the same as a kit.

I allready bought it; And did happen to buy the Coolingmist 150psi kit. :)

After running the alcy for a few thousand miles, take the head off and look at the tops of the pistons, you wont believe how new they look. ;)

Sweetness scottsee. Eventually I would like to do that but I have a shit ton more to do before. Good luck with it.

nice, i've been looking into some sort of injection to help my knock issues as well? did you adjust your airflow values as shown in the dsmlink manual?

I don't have to. I'm on my stock 2g MAF.

I meant did you adjust the LFTF values as the dsmlink manual says to? Both trims pretty close to 0? That would explain why your airflow measuring is off.

LTFTlow was at 0% and LTFTmid at 6.8% with my stock 450cc, 2g maf, with working PCV and valve cover routed back into the intake. The g/rev at idel is about .23g/rev. My LTFT's indicate my "Dead Time" needs to be lowerd. But Dsmlink can't set dead time lower then 0. So I'm stuck... Thats what sparked me to get a new fuel system. Dave though it was becasue my rewired 2g fuel pump was over runing my stock fpr. Even though I beleve its somthing else, whos to argue with pobably one of the most knolegeable DSM guru's in the world.

I certainly wouldn't argue with him :D
That MAP sensor will make life much easier. I'm running the 3.3 bar GM deisel sensor. Once you realize the power/convenience of being able to compare calculate pressure with measure pressure and calculated AFR with measured AFR there is no going back!

I thought DSMLink could run negative dead times? Mine are really high, so I've never had to deal with it, but I remember reading about some guys that needed it.

If it can I sure doesn't work for me. I tryed putting just about every divisible number of 15 in the UN dead time box. It doesn't accept the - attribute, like -15. It defaults back to 0.
MR. Jewer, I'm looking forward to it. Especially the part where I'm picking up my first wideband Thursday. Calculating AFR with a water/alch injection is just to much for me to bother with without one.

i dont see any reason to use neg dead times. dead time grows as injector size grows. it would be idiotic to run a injector smaller than 450cc.

i also just got my PLX wideband, im just curious on what wideband everyone else is running? and how do you like it?

Thats the one I just got. M-300. We'll see how it works when it gets here.

I've been running the techedge 2A0 for a few years now (wbo2.com). Works excellent. It was the first one to be supported in DSMlink, so the decision was easy back then...
