3 of my 4 automatic windows on my Jetta GLS have freyed cables. The other has a burnt out motor.
I can't find the cables online anywhere... I figure they'll be cheap.
Now, here's my question... it that the WINDOW REGULATOR I need to replace on those 3 windows or just some cables for them???

You could try to by cable from a hardware store and make your own using the old as a pattern. From parts stores you have to buy the regulator. I checked www.sasponline.com for prices and you'll pay ~$50 for the rear regulators without motors, and ~$110 for the front without regulators. If you need the motors with the regulators you spend ~$250 or so.
Hope this helps.

Yea, I actually took the door panels off today and took a look again... my previous one was fairly vague.
Found out that 1 of them has freyed cables: my solution buy a new regulator.
Another, the regulator is acutally broken in that it doesn't correctly hold the window up (it drops if touched hard (not to hard lol) enough): my solution buy a new regulator.
An of course I need a new motor for the driver (my) side window.
Thanks, for the help doug.
