Since everyone liked the first set of pics, I thought I'd post the next set of pics of my Shelby Mustang. This car is made by Ertl, Muscle Machines. It has about average detail, no working suspension. Accuracy of this car is accurate down to the 428 cu in. engine.

Here is the "Diamond in the Ruff" of every car collector. Car is painted a very glossy black. Goodyear tires wrapped around the rims.

I personally would have preferred to have actualy rear lights as opposed to painting the the chrome.

Hood pins secure the hood of this beast. Along with the extra lights.

Carpeted interior, something not too common in Ertl cars. Quick throw shifter. Sorry for the blurry pic.

Woodgrain steering wheel. Folding seats.

Serious attitude problem.

I like the Skyline better, and I need a digital camera, but they are hella expensive.

This is from an article I found. Here's what they say:

The Mustang GT, in either 350 or 500 trim, was and is a whole lot of car. The GT 350 came equipped from factory with a Paxton-supercharged 289 small-block rated at 306 horsepower and 329 lb/ft of torque. Big brother 500 carried a normally aspirated 428 FE big block inhaling through dual four-barrel Holley carbs. That portly FE motor upped the ante to 355 wild stallions, with 420 lb/ft of torque on tap. It needed it to get off the line. The GT 350 was a genuine lightweight, with a curb weight of just over 2,700 pounds—comparable to many modern roadsters. The big block FE swings the needle to almost 3,300. The suspension was sturdy, if not particularly tricky—unequal length A-arms up front, sway bars, and parallel leaf springs supporting a 9” Ford rear housing 3:89 (GT 350) or 3:25 (GT 500) gears, and a big (for the time) disc/drum brake set-up.

The '67 Shelby didn't have an option of a Paxton Supercharger, but there was a Paxton available as an aftermarket installation !
A few '66 Shelby's were produced with the Paxton but none were factory produced in '67 !
Mr Shelby even produced a TWIN PAXTON SUPERCHARGED Cobra SC for his good friend Bill Cosby. That car was the inspiration for a comedy album Cosby did in the mid sixties called "200MPH" !
