Hey,
My brother's 1990 Grand Am (2.3L quad four, automatic) has been acting up lately.
He was driving home from work in the rain and the engine started running extremely rough, and eventually stalled. She starts/runs but has difficulty reving up- coughing/sputtering. While she will slip into gear, the car simply stalls out before the car gets anywhere.
We have left the car for five days hoping the problem would either resolve itself (not likely, but its the cheapest solution!). I am handy with cars, just not diagnostics. If you need any more information or have ANY ideas, please post a reply!
Cheers,
carter

IF it's been a while, tune it up. Plugs, coil housing (the plastic piece the coils and module set in) and plug boots. Check the air filter, and change the fuel filter. The coil housing is a wear item, it can get carbon tracked like a distributor cap and cause misfires.
