A/C problems

A/C compressor keeps kicking off and on and does not stay running. Thinking it may be low on freon. Does any one know how to keep the compressor on to check the charge. Any help is appreciated.

in my experience, it wont stay on as long as its low. Just buy a can of freon (find out what type you car uses) and see if it will take it. Make sure you plug into the low side, the blue knob on most cars. Just follow instructions on can.
