Only ETS Stay on

2002 Sunfire automatic, 2.2 I think

The ETS light has came on and stays on. The check engine light has never came on as others have stated. Sometimes the ETS light will go off for week or so, only to come back on again.

Any thoughts?

On my 96 the ets light is always on and says "ets off". there is a button on the shifter that turns the light off, which means the ets is on. It is screwed up. I don't know why pontiac did that. Hope that helps.
