The ZC is definately NOT the stock engine for that car. If its an SI its a d16a6, if its a dx then its the d15b2.

I know. I'm just trying to figure it all out just like you...

If his block says "ZC" and his "head looks like a d15b2" then it may be a sohc zc.

the clutch doesn't have a damn thing to do with the engine. It has to do with the transmission, and the transmission only. Now, here's your dilemma, do you have a zc tranny, 88 tranny, or 89 tranny, or 90-91 tranny? Count the splines on your input shaft and report back to us.

nope. Your best bet is to either count the splines on your tranny's input shaft and then search to see which tranny you have,
or, take your old clutch, and go to autozone or something and try each clutch alignment tool from an 88, 89, and 90-91 clutch kit. The 88 clutch has 21 splines. The 89-00 clutches have 20 splines, but, the 89 clutch is smaller physically, as well as the flywheel, so that one is different as well.

Good luck.
