Interior Painting.

I am looking to paint my interior dash a gloss black. I already have painted a lot of stuff in my car. Everything looks really good. I Now want to paint my dash and i have heard from a thread that if you were to paint the dash it will crack and bubble in a couple of months. Reason being, is that the dash is a little flexible and will do that. I have read hundreds of threads about painting the dash and no one has said anything about the dash cracking. I am not looking to fiberglass.....not yet anyway. I know i can paint it but i am concerned about the cracking. So if anyone has done this before to their car let me know how it worked out. Any suggestions on paint. (i have a toploader spray gun from my friend and other various paint guns.)
